Considering it's one of the most popular movies of the year, it's no surprise that the Deadpool costume was a popular choice for Halloween this year. Only one lucky fan got to wear Ryan Reynolds actual costume from the movie, though, and that fan was none other than pop sensation Taylor Swift. The musician thanked the actor through social media for lending her the costume in the following statement.

"Thanks @vancityreynolds for this costume, you're the BEST deadpool inside contact ever"

The singer posted a number of photos on Instagram wearing the Merc With the Mouth's maroon suit. Ryan Reynolds has yet to respond to her message on Instagram, but hopefully he'll respond with some sort of witty comment about lending his suit out on Halloween night. You may recall that, last Halloween, Ryan Reynolds had some plans of his own with the suit.

Almost exactly a year ago, Ryan Reynolds posted a video that showed him going trick-or-treating with kids dressed up as a number of X-Men mutants. The actor also sent out a photo on Twitter with these youngsters, asking 20th Century Fox to stop changing the X-Men timeline, because it's confusing to viewers. This year, it seems Ryan Reynolds didn't have much use for the Deadpool costume, which may or may not be tied into the lack of progress on the sequel Deadpool 2.

We reported just a few weeks ago that Deadpool director Tim Miller has parted ways with the sequel, after creative differences arose between the filmmaker and Ryan Reynolds. The actor was reportedly given a big raise that comes with more creative control, and the director and star reportedly clashed over the casting of Cable. There have also been reports that the director wanted to triple the budget of the last movie, but none of these reports have been confirmed.

Deadpool became a surprise box office sensation when it debuted in theaters this past February, opening with a record-breaking $132.4 million opening weekend. Deadpool went on to earn $363 million domestically and $782.6 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film in history. Take a look at Taylor Swift's Instagram photos below, showing her wearing the Deadpool suit on Halloween.
