20th Century Fox's Deadpool movie is just about to start shooting in Vancouver, with the cast ready and raring to go. Today, star Ryan Reynolds has unveiled the movie's logo, which is seen on the back of his chair on set. This was followed by star Morena Baccarin's own reveal, who has confirmed that her character, and Wade Wilson's love interest, is named Vanessa!
It's speculated that this Vanessa is actually Vanessa Carlyle. She is better known as Copycat, and made her debut alongside Deadpool's first known appearance in the Marvel comic book New Mutants #98. At the time of her original reveal, she was disguised as Domino. Domino is another character that has been rumored for the movie, but has not yet been confirmed.
This latest sneak peek from the set comes hot on the heels of /deadpool-movie-cast-tj-miller-weasel/another actor revealing he will play a fan favorite from the comic books. Yes, this morning, T.J. Miller confirmed that he is playing Deadpool sidekick Weasel! Also appearing in the movie are X-Man Colossus, who has yet to be cast. And Angel Dust, played by Gina Carano. We haven't gotten an official confirmation that shooting has started, but it looks like that will certainly get underway here at any minute. While we await our first reveal of Ryan Reynolds in costume, take a look at the official logo:
