Surprisingly, the latest Deadpool photo doesn't come directly from star Ryan Reynolds himself. Over the past couple of months, the actor has kept a steady stream of images flowing in, but today, we get an official set photo from inside Empire Magazine. It shows off Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with the Mouth as he traipses across a destroyed bridge double fisting guns in an action scene that will surely end in a blaze of glory.

Ryan Reynolds has been in the news a lot lately for his heroic deeds on set. First, he invited 15-year-old Calista King in for a cameo and then gave her one of his swords. The young girl recently had a large brain tumor removed, and Ryan Reynolds wanted to brighten her spirits, as she claims to be the world's biggest Deadpool fan. Ryan Reynolds then made one very young fan's dream come true, working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to give a boy suffering from Hodgkin's Disease a chance to meet his favorite Marvel hero.

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool .
