Following three gorgeous new images for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Empire is also debuting three never-before-seen photos from Deadpool. One of the photos arrived yesterday, which shows Wade Wilson ready for a sword fight. Today, we get a high-res look at his Katanas Bea and Arthur. Also along for the ride are Brianna Hildebrand as X-Men character Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Morena Baccarin as the Merc's love interest Copycat.

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Ryan Reynolds reprises the title character after appearing as Wade Wilson in the 2009 spinoff X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He stars alongside T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as the villain Ajax. Deadpool also dusts off mutant Colossus, though original actor Daniel Cudmore will not be back to reprise his X-Men character. Tim Miller directs the Marvel superhero adventure from an R rated script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

Ryan Reynolds recently claimed that he will not star in any other superhero movie ever again. But he wants to come back as the Merc With the Mouth in as many Deadpool sequels as possible. What remains to be seen is if this superhero adventure will also tie in to the X-Men franchise, especially since it features Negasonic arriving in her Charles Xavier School for Gifted Mutants uniform. Along with X-Men: Apocalypse, 20th Century Fox is also working on Wolverine 3 and X-Force. It isn't known if there are any current plans to incorporate the Merc with the Mouth into these movies, but Ryan Reynolds has a dream of joining a Cabel-led X-Force Team.

Many suspect that a Red Band Deadpool trailer is set to drop sometime this week, before the all-ages green band trailer debuts in theaters with Fantastic Four on August 7. The Red Band Deadpool trailer released at Comic-Con is full of bloody violence and gore, and has plenty of R rated language, which is why we won't get to see it attached to Marvel's first family of superheroes. If and when a Red Band trailer for the movie does arrives, it isn't known if any new footage will be included. But that is entirely possible. The sneak peek not only showed off Ryan Reynolds's comedic chops as Wade Wilson, it also introduced audiences to Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead in action. We get to see a little more of what is sure to be a fan-favorite character here. She appears alongside Morena Baccarin, who will be locked in a sordid love affair with Wade. Take a look at this latest sneak peek before the Merc with the mouth invades theaters everywhere February 12, 2016.
