Earlier this week, FX dropped some surprising news, that they were canceling their Deadpool animated series that Atlanta creator Donald Glover and his brother, Atlanta writer-producer Stephen Glover, had been developing, and now Donald Glover has fired back. The official statement from FX revealed that the writers and network have parted ways on this series due to creative differences, although some speculated that the show may have been a casualty of Donald Glover's increasingly busy schedule, including the new season of Atlanta currently airing on FX, along with his roles in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story as Lando Calrissian and Disney's The Lion King as Simba.

Glover set the record straight on Twitter early this morning, with his first tweet stating, "For the record, I wasn't too busy to work on Deadpool." Before sharing a mock 14-page script of the Deadpool animated series "finale" that takes a number of not-so-subtle jabs at Marvel while addressing a number of hot-button issues.

The "script" opens in Kenya, with the Merc With the Mouth suddenly waking up in a moving Jeep, screaming, "Don't let Ben Carson operate on me," a jab at the former Presidential candidate who is now the Secretary for Housing and Urban Development. The Jeep is being driven by an African woman named Esiankiki, who reveals she picked him up at the airport so he can protect the last male northern white rhino, a reference to the real rhino named Sudan who died last week. The Merc also makes references to former gang member turned fashion model Jeremy Meeks and reports that actress Sanaa Lathan bit Beyonce in the face, with the Merc then revealing it was actually Jennifer Lawrence, which the Merc didn't mind because he already hated her.

The script also references the meta nature of Deadpool, and the fact that this is just a script, with Esiankiki asking who the Merc is talking to, at one point, to which he responds, "The people watchin- (sadly corrects himself) The people reading this." He also makes reference to Bitcoin, the reason the Merc took this job in the first place, the hit video game Fortnite (while possibly revealing his username, Tekashi69) while admitting that none of his jokes are landing with Esiankiki and the rhino's handler, Zachariah, with Deadpool stating, "Wow. Nothing's landing. Our cultures are so very different. We have so much to teach each other."

The script gets to a point where it's just Deadpool and the rhino Sudan, after Zachariah says he has to stay with the rhino until it mates, which leads to the Merc essentially talking to himself, in, more or less, a Cast Away type of scenario. With no one else to talk to, Deadpool then pontificates about his own show being canceled, stating it's not a good time to have a, "violent, gun-loving white man ranting on TV," before adding, "other than the PRESIDENT!" He adds that the Last Week Tonight crowd would have thought that was funny, before taking a rather direct jab at Marvel. Here's an excerpt of Deadpool's speech where he's "talking" to the rhino below.

"I mean, I get it. Maybe they just wanna sell toys. And this style of comedy isn't it. It's more "ha-ha. But I'm mad." I get that. Do you think they cancelled the show cause of... racism?! Yeah, but all the writers were black. And the references were pretty black too. I heard they went over the lunch budget by ordering Jamaican food once a week. You're right. Black Panther. Maybe we were alienating our white audience? No. We did a whole goat yoga episode. Damn. What was it? Noooooo. The Taylor Swift episode? Nah. No. They had to have loved that script. What? The Marvel stuff I said in it? All I said was Marvel was trying to sell toys to seven year old boys and fifty year old pedophiles. That's just funny. They're cool. They get it."

The final pages of the script includes reference to the Facebook data scandal, the recent shooting of Stephon Clark in Sacramento, and the controversy over arming teachers in America. There is even a brief Blind Al cameo at the end of this 14-page script. Take a look at this entire script below, courtesy of Donald Glover Twitter.
