Dimension Films, which is part of The Weinstein Co. family, is developing The Hookup Handbook: A Single Girl's Guide to Living It Up, a comedy based on the comedy stylings of authors Andrea Lavinthal and Jessica Rozler.

According to Variety, Alyssa Embree, Jessica Koosed and Stacey Harman have been asked to adapt the book for the big screen which takes a look at the lives of three very different young women who leave traditional dating behind to forge some unlikely friendships. A series of life-changing romantic adventures occur, all in pursuit of 'hooking up.'

Producer Peter Riche says, "This book cuts like a laser right to the heart of what's going on with today's young people and the way they relate to each other on an emotional level.
