Kevin Costner's new political comedy Swing Vote has been picked up for distribution by Touchstone Pictures. According to Variety, Costner is making the film through his own Treehouse Films production company.

The film revolves around a single father who finds himself thrust into the spotlight when the presidential election comes to rest on his single vote. Dennis Hopper is set to play the Democratic candidate, while Kelsey Grammer is playing the evil republican nominee.

Stanley Tucci, Nathan Lane, George Lopez, Judge Reinhold, Mare Winningham, Richard Petty, Willie Nelson and Madeline Carroll will also appear in the film. Joshua Michael Stern is directing a script by Jason Richman.

Swing Vote started shooting in Albuquerque in July.
