The story centers on a young girl who sets sail on a nautical quest in the South Pacific world of Oceania, to find a lost and fabled island. She eventually teams up with the demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) on an action-packed voyage where they must fend off enormous sea creatures, explore underwater worlds and immerse themselves in Polynesian culture. The title character of Moana has not been cast yet.

Ron Clements and John Musker are directing Moana from their own screenplay. No details were given for the musical elements involved in Moana, but are you looking forward to Dwayne Johnson showing off his singing skills? Let us know what you think below.
