It is for certain that we’re not the only ones thinking about the countless possibilities with regards to MCU heroes and Disney princesses. After all, the resemblance between some characteristics and personalities of each of the characters is sometimes uncanny. From the magic powers and the animal sidekicks to the dead parents narrative and strong moral compasses, there are plenty of thematic parallels that would easily make for an exciting franchise-crossover movie.

It's almost equally certain that there will never be a crossover like this, of course. Per Screen Rant, fans have theorized a multitude of ways in which Star Wars and the MCU could cross over, but those theories have already been debunked. As such, seeing a Disney princess and an MCU superhero in the same movie is just a dream. Even still, one can hope. Let's take a look at our seven pairs for an exciting crossover movie.

Snow White and Captain America

Captain America
Marvel Studios
Disney

Just as Captain Steve Rogers was the first Avenger, Snow White was one of the first Disney princesses. Wouldn't it be amazing if they teamed up for a movie dealing with how it feels to be the first one in such an important ensemble? Not to mention each of their signature costumes already consist of red, blue and white. Snow White was also in a sort of captive slumber, although it wasn't nearly for 70 years. Her passionate spirit could definitely carry out the mission of being Cap's protégé.

Elsa and Scarlet Witch

Frozen
Walt Disney

This is one of the movies that we truly need because both of the characters have a lot in common, even if it may initially seem like they don't. Both Elsa and Wanda are afraid and insecure about their powers. This insecurity and fear that constantly accompanies them forces them to be outcasts who simply don't fit in. Wanda was kept on house arrest by Stark and Elsa decided to leave her community on her own. Their inability to control their own powers frightens them. We would love to see how a movie would play with these themes.

Belle and Iron Man

It might seem like an unusual combination, but, in our opinion, Belle and Tony Stark would make a powerful duo. Both of them are caring individuals who are ready to do everything for their friends and family. These characters take care of their family in place of their parents: Belle taking care of her father her whole life and Tony basically raising himself to the stardom. On top of that, they lose anything that makes them happy. Plus, their attires would perfectly match.

Thor and Rapunzel

Thor-MCU-Rapunzel-Tangled
Disney

We've pretty much established the fact that Thor is indeed a Disney princess, right? Jokes aside, the resemblance between Thor and Disney princesses is uncanny — Rapunzel in particular. Both Thor and Rapunzel are children of an important kingdom. Their long blonde hair has become so signature of their characters that we instantly connect it to the two of them. Rapunzel lost her magic hair as a meaningful sacrifice in the same manner as Thor lost his eye to show that he is not invulnerable. Later on, they even cut Thor's hair in the same short-haired Rapunzel style. On top of it all, they can both talk to animals and different creatures. You can't deny that the crossover would be so much fun.

Moana and Spider-Man

Spider-Man: No Way Home Tom Holland as Spider-Man and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange
Marvel Studios / Sony

How cool would it be if we got a crossover of such youthful characters with fighting vigor in one movie? Both of the franchises hold similar messages throughout the story and that is not needing special things to achieve your dreams and shine in your own way. Both Spider-Man and Moana have a lot of growing up to do, and it would be exciting to see them go through struggles of finding themselves together.

Mulan and Shang-Chi

Disney princess Mulan 1998 d
Walt Disney Pictures

Although Mulan pretty much lived 1500 years ago and Shang-Chi is a man of the modern world, they would make the perfect duo. Many people argue that either Katy or Xu Xialing (Shang-Chi's sister) would be a better version of Mulan than the live-action one, and we totally agree. The original animated Mulan is one of the strongest female characters in Disney. With Shang-Chi's mastery of Ta Lo martial arts and kung fu and Mulan's eventual swordmanship skills, they would make the baddest pair for a movie.

Merida and Hawkeye

Hawkeye in the MCU
Marvel Studios

Brave's star Merida and MCU's Hawkeye, both armed with bows and arrows, running together through the woods — how iconic would that be? Merida is considered by many memes as Natasha and Clint's love child, and personality-wise, she reminds us of Kate Bishop whom Hawkeye has already taken under his wings. The Disney princess and the MCU superhero would definitely give off similar vibes. We would love to see the dynamics of a trained assassin who is basically a peak human training the 16-year-old Disney princess.
