Disney has revealed the release dates for several upcoming tentpole projects, including the likes of Mufasa: The Lion King, Disney's Snow White, and Inside Out 2. The recent D23 Expo offered various insights into several of these major Disney releases, with Variety now revealing when we will be able to sit down and once again bask in the magic of Walt Disney Studios.

We begin with Next Goal Wins, which is now scheduled to be released on April 21, 2023. Directed by Thor: Love and Thunder’s Taika Waititi, Next Goal Wins will star Michael Fassbender, Oscar Kightley, David Fane, and Beulah Koale, and follows Dutch-American football coach Thomas Rongen who is tasked with turning the American Samoa national team, considered one of the weakest football teams in the world, into an elite squad.

Next up is the remake of the Haunted Mansion, now due for release on August 11, 2023, and stars Rosario Dawson, Lakeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish, Winona Ryder, Dan Levy, Jared Leto, Danny DeVito, and Jamie Lee Curtis. The second theatrical film adaptation of Walt Disney's theme park attraction of the same name, Haunted Mansion, will center on, aptly, a haunted mansion.

Animated outings Wish, which stars Ariana DeBose and Alan Tudyk as a princess and her goat who meet a literal star, will land in theaters on November 22, 2023, while Elio, which comes from Pixar Animation Studios and follows an 11-year-old boy who finds himself mistaken for the intergalactic ambassador of planet Earth will be released on March 1, 2024.

Disney has now also revealed the release date for the live-action remake of Snow White, which stars West Side Story’s Rachel Zegler as Snow White alongside Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen. Directed by Marc Webb, from a screenplay by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson, Snow White is a live-action adaptation of the 1937 Disney classic, which is based on the 1812 fairy tale of the same title by the Brothers Grimm, and will be released on March 22, 2024.

Pixar sequel Inside Out 2 is next out the gate and will be released on June 14, 2024. Revealed at D23, Inside Out 2 will once again follow Riley, now a teenager, with a "new set of personified emotions.”

The Lion King 2, which has now been officially titled Mufasa: The Lion King, will hit theaters on July 5, 2024. Moonlight director Barry Jenkins will be at the helm of this live-action Disney remake, which it has now been revealed will tell the origin story of the beloved character Mufasa. Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, and John Kani are now confirmed to be reprising their roles as Pumbaa, Timon, and Rafiki, respectively.

Finally, a sudden and Untitled Marvel movie is now scheduled to be released on September 6, 2024. No other information has yet been provided about the mysterious MCU outing, but we do now know that it will likely be a part of Phase Six.
