Just one month after the first Zootopia cast members were revealed, Disney has released the first photo from this animated comedy, featuring Jason Bateman's Nick Wilde and Ginnifer Goodwin's Judy Hopps. The studio first unveiled concept art from Zootopia at the D23 Convention back in 2013, featuring Jason Bateman's fox character Nick Wilde, but this is our first official look at both Nick and his unlikely rabbit partner, Judy Hopps. We also have new details about these characters from Jason Bateman himself and director Rich Moore.

The plot is set in the animal city of Zootopia, where fast-talking fox, Nick Wilde, is trying to make it big but must go on the run when he's framed for a crime he didn't commit. Zootopia's top cop, a self-righteous rabbit, Judy Hopps, is hot on his tail, but when both become targets of a conspiracy, they're forced to team up and discover even natural enemies can become best friends. Here's what Jason Bateman had to say about his conniving character Nick Wilde.

"He's a crafty, sarcastic schemer, and that I've been doing in parts since I was 12. I foolishly said, 'What kind of voice do you guys want me to do?' And they just looked at me like I was an idiot and said, 'Just do what you do. Just talk.'"

Rich Moore described Judy Hopps as, "a little Pollyanna mixed with Furiosa," referring to Charlize Theron's character in Mad Max: Fury Road. Ginnifer Goodwin added that, while Judy can become "unhinged," she is definitely not dumb.

"She gets hoppity emotionally. People mistake kindness for naivete or stupidity, and she is a good girl through and through. But she's not a dumb bunny."

Zootopia is set to hit theaters on March 4, 2016, and with the first official photo already released, we'll hopefully see the first trailer soon. No other voice cast members have been announced yet, but hopefully we'll learn more about this animated comedy soon. In the meantime, check out the first official photo from Zootopia.
