D.J. Caruso is about to step into a more adult land of giants. According to Variety, Caruso has signed on to direct Jack the Giant Killer for New Line Cinema. The film will be a much different, adult take on the Jack and the Beanstalk story.

This story revolves a longtime peace between men and the land of giants that is broken when a princess is kidnapped, and a young farmer is given the chance to lead a journey into the giants' land to save her.

Mark Bomback wrote the script and Neil Moritz is producing. No production schedule was released as of yet.
