When you look at Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, set in World War II, and his latest film Django Unchained, set before the Civil War, one may not think they are connected. However, the director dropped an intriguing tidbit in a recent interview, where he believes they are both a part of the same trilogy.

"I don't know, Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained bespeak a trilogy. As different as they are, there is a companion piece quality. There might very well be a third one. I just don't know what it is yet."

It will also be interesting to see if Christoph Waltz pops up in the third film, since he has starred in the first two. We'll keep you posted if any further details come through regarding this unorthodox "trilogy."
