Marvel fans really love a good crossover, as Spider-Man: No Way Home has proved. With Sam Raimi taking the helm of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, one fan has created a new poster for the movie that puts Marvels’ Scarlet Witch in an iconic pose from Raimi’s The Evil Dead. While it has been noted that the latest outing for Doctor Strange will bring horror to the MCU, it is probably safe to say that we won’t be seeing anything quite that extreme arriving in the franchise anytime soon.Sam Raimi first made his name with The Evil Dead, the film that created a star of Bruce Campbell and developed a franchise that is releasing its latest entry this year four decades later. While the director has never completely stepped away from The Evil Dead, he became the first director to bring Spider-Man to the big screen in 2002 with Tobey Maguire in the lead role and returned to direct both sequels. Now, thanks to circumstances, Raimi has returned Marvel for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While we may not be about to see the heroes of the MCU taking on The Evil Dead on screen, artist Alexey Kotolevskiy has created an unofficial poster for the Doctor Strange sequel that mimics the original poster for The Evil Dead, with a comic-accurate depiction of Scarlet Witch being pulled into the ground by an arm that looks like it could belong to the dark variant of Doctor Strange seen in the trailer for the movie. As the MCU deals with more variants from the multiverse, this poster could well prove to be one of the greatest What If’s of them all.

Kotolevskiy wrote on his Instagram post, “Continue to fantasize about #doctorstrange ! I still dream of seeing a film in the style of Sam Raimi, but it was not limited by Disney. Of course, it will surely be beautiful, fun and interesting ... but just imagine this movie with a R rating ... a dream.”

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Is The Darkest MCU Movie Yet

The world of the MCU has been changing and the evolution of the multiverse is about to bring a lot of trouble and darkness to the Earth’s greatest heroes. If Spider-Man: No Way Home was the starter, then Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is about to bring the main course. The movie will see Strange enlisting the help of Wanda and facing untold horrors of the multiverse, which reportedly includes multiple variants of himself, but just how bad it will get for the former Sorcerer Supreme is something that we currently have no idea.

With reports having also suggested that the recently wrapped reshoots on the movie have been used to add more variant characters and new introductions to the movie, fans have been wildly speculating on just who could end up making an appearance in the film, with guesses ranging from Tom Cruise as a variant of Iron Man, to an appearance by members of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four, as well as the ever-popular shouts of “Mephisto!” echoing around social media. With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness not arriving until May 6th, there is still a long time for fans to continue adding to their wish lists before the truth is finally revealed.
