Buckets of salt at the ready, as both the mid-credits and post-credits scenes for the upcoming Marvel sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, have reportedly leaked. Be warned, potential MAJOR SPOILERS to follow. While the source of the details is somewhat unsubstantiated, with the movie now a mere two months away, it’s possible that these descriptions could very well turn out to be true. Which, if so, would surely send theaters into a choir of gasps and rapturous applause.

According to the leak, which comes courtesy of Twitter user Movie News Plus, the mid-credits scene begins with Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) “sleeping after the events of Multiverse of Madness” and he “has a nightmare where he sees...himself training an apprentice, a ruined New York City, a dead Wong, Dormammu’s sister Umar, and a glimpse of Kang the Conqueror.” The inclusion of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror certainly makes sense, as he is now being set up to be the MCU’s next big bad. After seeing into this disastrous future, things take a turn towards the weird, with Doctor Strange waking up with a “third eye” before hearing the voice of “Clea (played by Charlize Theron), saying ‘Help Me’.”

For those unaware, Clea is the Sorcerer Supreme of the Dark Dimension, who has familial ties with Dormammu. She has a ... tumultuous relationship with her family and has worked alongside Doctor Strange to thwart their evil schemes multiple times throughout the pages of Marvel Comics. The description also seemingly confirms that Oscar winner Charlize Theron will join the MCU as Clea.

As for the good Doctor gaining a mysterious third eye, this could be the Third Eye of Horus, which allows him to see into different dimensions and would certainly make for a hauntingly psychedelic image to end on.

The Doctor Strange 2 Post-Credits Scene Will Introduce Deadpool into the MCU

As exciting as the mid-credits sequence sounds, it pales in comparison to the post-credits scene, which will reportedly introduce Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool into the MCU. “Deadpool, along with Cable, Domino, and Vanessa, are exploring the Illuminati facility due to the Illuminati’s multiversal gates being left open after the Wanda fight.” As well as confirming that Wanda will be the villain and that she will battle and kill The Illuminati, the scene will continue Deadpool’s iconic breaking of the fourth wall. “Deadpool is joking with the bodies of some members, including making a reference to The Office. Deadpool then makes a joke/4th wall break about Patrick Stewart’s Professor X being dead again for the 3rd time.”

Thankfully, we do not have to wait too much longer to find out how much of this is true, as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 6, 2022, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
