Back in October, Marvel finally confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch will play the title character in Doctor Strange. We haven't heard much about the project since then, but we reported in January that actor Chiwetel Ejiofor was being eyed for a supporting role, although no details about his character were revealed. Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige recently spoke with MTV, where he was asked if Benedict Cumberbatch will use his native British accent when portraying Stephen Strange. Here's what the producer had to say below.

"It's a good question. We have not discussed the accent with him yet, but he's Benedict Cumberbatch, so I think he can do anything we ask him."

The producer also revealed that director Scott Derrickson is currently scouting locations in New York City, with principal photography slated to begin this November.

"I've been talking about it for a long, long, long, long time, as we talked about Guardians (of the Galaxy) for a long, long time before it happened, and we talked about The Avengers for a long, long time before it happened. (Director) Scott Derrickson and the producing team are on a scout right now, finishing a scout in New York City for certain buildings that Doctor Strange inhabits. They're on their way to London, where we'll be doing principal photography, starting in November. It's great. Benedict (Cumberbatch) has been on a bit of a whirlwind tour up until now, but we're so excited. We are as excited to have him as he is to be a part of this universe. It's always a nice combination."
