In a little more than a month, Marvel's Doctor Strange will be debuting in theaters overseas. That being the case, more details and marketing materials for the movie are starting to surface. Today we got a look at a brand new international TV spot for the movie, as well as a longer, more detailed synopsis, giving us a better feel for the plot of Doctor Strange.

Cosmic Book News uncovered the new Doctor Strange plot synopsis, which reportedly came from movie theaters in Ireland, who are getting the movie on October 25. While the slightly more detailed synopsis for the movie isn't incredibly revelatory, it does give a much better sense of what some of the conflict will be. Here is the full, newly uncovered synopsis for the Doctor Strange movie.

"From Marvel comes Doctor Strange, the story of the world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place -- a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange -- armed with newly acquired magical powers -- is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence. Join Strange on his dangerous, mystifying, and totally mind-bending journey when Marvel's Doctor Strange opens in Irish Cinemas on 25th October."

This new description of the movie essentially lays out, albeit very loosely, what we can expect from all three acts of Doctor Strange. The beginning will feature Stephen Strange in his day-to-day life. Then, after the accident, he will go on his journey that leads him to The Ancient One, where he will receive his training in The Mystic Arts. After some personal conflict and growth, he will square off against the "dark forces" mentioned in the synopsis. The most interesting new bit is that it sounds like at one point Stephen Strange will have the opportunity to return to a normal life, which should make for an interesting bit of conflict.

The other new thing that Marvel fans can feast their eyes on is a new international TV spot for Doctor Strange, which just made its way onto the web. While the 30-second spot doesn't reveal any new footage, it did do a very good job of condensing a lot of the money shots we have seen in previous trailers. This particular spot really highlights a lot of the magic and other dimensional happenings that will be very present in Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange is not only going to be a very different kind of movie within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it is going to be a very different kind of comic book movie altogether. The movie will be introducing the idea of straight up magic into the MCU, something that has been almost entirely absent up to this point, as well as the concept of the Multiverse. The cast is being headlined by Benedict Cumberbatch, who is playing Stephen Strange. The supporting cast includes Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Amy Landecker, Scott Adkins and Mads Mikkelsen, who is playing the villain Kaecilius.

Doctor Strange was directed by Scott Derrickson from a script he co-wrote with C. Robert Cargill. The movie is set to be released in the U.S. on November 4. Be sure to check out the new Doctor Strange TV spot for yourself below.
