Listen up, Doctor Who and Sherlock fans! Both shows are heading to the big screen in December. Fathom Events is planning a two-night only screening of the 2016 Doctor Who Christmas Special. And Sherlock: The Abominable Bride is making its way back to the big screen for a second time. Fathom Events has given us the official details, which you can read here in the official PR.

The New Doctor Who Christmas Special The Return of Doctor Mysterio is coming to cinemas for Two Nights Only December 27 & 29. The Return of Doctor Mysterio will be in movie theaters nationwide for two nights only on Tuesday, December 27 and Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. local time both days.

The event will include the full 60-minute special plus two exclusive bonus features, A New Kind of Superhero, giving a special inside look at Doctor Who's concept of a modern superhero, and a special Christmas Doctor Who Extra, showing the making of this year's special, with appearances by stars Peter Capaldi and Matt Lucas, and showrunner and executive producer Steven Moffat.

Join the Doctor, played by Peter Capaldi, as he teams up with an investigative journalist, played by Charity Wakefield, and a superhero to save New York from a deadly alien threat. Written by Steven Moffat, the special stars Justin Chatwin as Grant, along with Matt Lucas, Adetomiwa Edun, Aleksandar Jovanovic and Logan Hoffman.

Back by Popular Demand, the Emmy Award-Winning Sherlock: The Abominable Bride Gets a Special Encore Screening in Cinemas Nationwide. Holmes and Watson are at it again, back on the big screen for a one-night theatrical encore presentation of Sherlock: The Abominable Bride.

Fans now have one last chance to see this episode, starring Emmy Award-winners Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in their iconic roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, in movie theatres nationwide. Audiences will also get to see an exclusive introduction to Sherlock season 4 by co-creator Mark Gatiss. This feature-length, big-screen event takes place on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. local time.

The Abominable Bride is a special, one-off production of Sherlock set in Victorian London in 1895. The episode was co-written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss with performances by Rupert Graves, Una Stubbs, Louise Brealey, and Amanda Abbington. It was directed by Douglas Mackinnon (Doctor Who, Line of Duty) and won the Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Television Movie, the first win for the series in that category.
