Adam McKay's newest film Don't Look Up is now streaming on Netflix, and for many viewers, an unexpected cameo from Chris Evans stands out as one of the best moments. Featuring a strong ensemble cast, the movie includes a slew of big names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, and Meryl Streep. There are some notable cameo appearances as well, and for Evans, many fans might even miss it because of how quickly it goes by, coupled with how unrecognizable the actor is in the role. If you'd rather not know when and how he appears, be aware that SPOILERS are ahead.

Don't Look Up is a satirical story on what might happen if Earth was faced with an extinction-level event. About 100 minutes into the film, there's a mock interview scene featuring fictional action movie star Devin Peters. The actor is promoting an Armageddon-like movie called Total Devastation, inspired by the incoming threat of the comet. When asked to provide his opinion on the "Look Up Movement," Peters tries to avoid taking particular sides by referring to a pin he's wearing with arrows pointing both up and down, trying to avoid taking sides so everyone can enjoy his "popcorn movie." He says, "As a country, we need to stop arguing and virtue-signaling and just get along."

Many fans really enjoyed this cameo appearance. One fan's mini-review says, "Don’t Look Up was hilarious and depressing and unfortunately probably exactly what would happen also Chris Evans had the funniest cameo."

"The 30 second cameo of Chris Evans in Don't Look Up is the Christmas treat we all needed," another fan says.

Even some viewers who weren't too fond of Don't Look Up as a whole were still happy with Evans' cameo. As one fan puts it, "I see what Don't Look Up was trying to do, but didn’t quite hit the mark to make it a lasting impression. I do however live for Chris Evans cameos and think they should be more of a regular thing across all kinds of films."

Some are even going so far as to label Evans as the King of Cameos based on his special appearances lately. Along with this new spot in Don't Look Up, Evans also had a surprise cameo in the Ryan Reynolds comedy Free Guy. Some fans have said that his part in that film was also a bright spot. Perhaps showing up in these kinds of amusing cameos can be something for Evans to do in between big movie releases. Fans wanting to see more can check him out in a more substantial role in The Gray Man, an upcoming thriller from the Russo Brothers; he also voices Buzz Lightyear in the upcoming Toy Story spinoff Lightyear.
