Douglas Finberg is leaving Paramount Pictures to become VP of International Marketing at Marvel Studios. This is a natural move for Finberg, as The Hollywood Reporter points out, since Paramount was the distributor for Marvel's Iron Man, and Marvel and Paramount have signed a five-picture deal giving Paramount domestic and international distribution rights.

As VP of International Marketing, Finberg will be focused on Marvel's upcoming slate of superhero films, including Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America, The Avengers and, of course, Iron Man 2. Finberg will no doubt still be working closely with his former colleagues at Paramount for the marketing campaign for these films.

At Paramount, Finberg was responsible for the marketing campaigns for Dream Works Animation films including Shrek the Third, Kung Fu Panda and Monsters Vs. Aliens. Finberg also worked on movies such as Mission: Impossible III,Transformers, Eagle Eye and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
