Following the new trailer that arrived last month, IGN has released a new clip from Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F. The animated movie is set for a limited theatrical release from August 4 through August 12 in the states, and fans can purchase tickets from DragonBallZ.com. This new clip features a fearsome dragon asked to bring the powerful villain Freiza (Chris Ayres) back to life. And it's done with unexpected results.

One peaceful day on Earth, two remnants of Frieza's army named Sorbet and Tagoma arrive searching for the Dragon Balls with the aim of reviving Frieza. They succeed, and Frieza subsequently seeks revenge on the Saiyans. The film is set to feature the return of cast members Sean Schemmel as Goku, Christopher Sabat as Vegeta/Piccolo, John Burgmeier as Tien, Kyle Hebert as Gohan, Mike McFarland as Master Roshi, Monica Rial as Bulma, Sonny Strait as Krillin, Ian Sinclair as Whis, Todd Haberkorn as Jaco, and Jason Douglas as the villain from 2014's Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, Beerus.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F is the 20th film in the Dragon Ball franchise, which first debuted in North America in 1986. The new movie showcases the return of Frieza - one of the greatest villains in all of anime. Even the complete obliteration of his physical form can't stop the galaxy's most evil overlord. After years in spiritual purgatory, Frieza has been resurrected and plans to take his revenge on the Z-Fighters of Earth. Facing off against Frieza's powerful new form, and his army of 1,000 soldiers, Goku and Vegeta must reach new levels of strength in order to protect Earth from their vengeful nemesis.

Tadayoshi Yamamuro directs from a screenplay by Akira Toriyama, who created the manga series this epic franchise is based on. Since the theatrical release is only one week long, it remains to be seen how quickly this animated movie will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. The franchise remains as popular as ever, and we'll have to wait and see if there are any plans for a 30th Anniversary celebration next year.
