Masquerade: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles-based Dream Entertainment has optioned the rights to the book "Masquerade" by historian Alfred F. Young.

"Masquerade" tells the story of a woman, Deborah Sampson, who during the American Revolution fought as a Continental soldier disguised as a man named Robert Shurtliff. She later fought, and won, her long quest for a veteran pension.

It's the second recent high-profile pickup for the 10-year-old company, which also has optioned the Vanity Fair article "A First Class Affair" about the romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton during the filming of "The V.I.P.s."
