Buyers wanted to Dream last week!

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount's Dreamgirls took the No. 1 position on Nielsen VideoScan's First Alert sales chart for last week. This title "generated $32 million in consumer spending."

Fox Home Entertainment still had a lot to smile about as Night at the Museum took the No. 2 spot in sales. Lionsgate saw Happily N'Ever After debut in the No. 4 slot. Universal had to feel pretty good about seeing Alpha Dog place at No. 6 and The Hitcher at No. 7.

In rentals, Night at the Museum hung tough in the No. 1 position with Buena Vista Home Entertainment's Deja Vu coming in at No. 2.

Dreamgirls debuted at No. 3 in rentals. Buena Vista saw The Queen nab the No. 4 spot and Alpha Dog closed out the show debuting on the rental charts at No. 5.
