DreamWorks Pictures has bought the rights to the romantic comedy pitch from Don Handfield, Valentine's Day.

The film revolves around a troubled couple forced to relive Valentine's Day over and over again until they get it right, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Handfield has been a busy person recently; he also sold the teen football drama script, Touchback to Morgan Creek Productions and Underground Films. David Nutter is set to direct that film which is about a washed-up high school quarterback.

Touchback is scheduled to start shooting in the fall; a 2008 release date has been set.

Valentine's Day has no production schedule yet.
