DreamWorks has acquired Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky's comedy pitch The Intern for low- to mid-six figures. Ivan Reitman will produce through his Montecito Pictures shingle, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story centers on a middle-age, stay-at-home dad who decides to return to the work force and is forced to start as an intern. Eisenberg and Stupnitsky, who teamed two years ago after meeting on the Fox lot, are staff writers on NBC's The Office. The deal marks the second pitch sale generated by the Office scribe team in recent months. Fox Atomic bought writer and recurring cast member Mindy Kaling's untitled sorority pitch in March.
