Envy: According to Variety, less than a month from the pic's release date, DreamWorks has pushed back the opening of the Jack Black laffer Envy from April 2nd to April 30th.

A studio spokeswoman said that the move was strategic and that the later weekend was a better fit for the film.

Now Envy will go up against Lions Gate's Godsend, with Robert De Niro; New Line's Laws of Attraction, starring Pierce Brosnan; and Paramount's teen pic, Mean Girls.

The earlier release would have pitted Black against a heftier slate, including Disney toon Home on the Range; MGM's Walking Tall, starring the Rock; Paramount's Julia Stiles romantic comedy The Prince and Me; and Sony's Hellboy.
