Universal Pictures has handed out a November 14, 2014 release date for the highly-anticipated comedy sequel Dumb and Dumber To. As of now, the only direct competition it faces is Fury, director David Ayer's World War II drama starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf.

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprise their roles as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne from the original 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber, along with Brady Bluhm as Billy from 4C and new cast members Kathleen Turner, Laurie Holden, Rachel Melvin, Steve Tom and Rob Riggle.

The story follows Lloyd and Harry embarking on yet another road trip to find Harry's long-lost daughter, who is in need of a kidney transplant.

Production is currently under way on the follow-up, directed by Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly. The release date puts it just under one month shy of Dumb and Dumber's 20th anniversary, which hit theaters on December 16, 1994.
