The Wolverine is currently in limbo as 20th Century Fox looks for a worthy director to replace Darren Aronofsky, who left the Marvel one-off for family reasons.

Duncan Jones, who recently directed Source Code, and David Slade, who next has the Untitled Daredevil Reboot on his plate, have both been sited as worthy successors to this highly coveted throne.

Today, Duncan Jones semi-confirmed that he is considering taking over the directorial duties on The Wolverine. Though, talks with 20th Century Fox have not yet taken place. Here is what he said.

"Who knows what'll be coming up next - I have a lot of meetings and catching-up to do when I get back to LA. The Wolverine is more interesting to me than Batman. A good Wolverine film could be an amazing thing."

The Wolverine was scheduled to shoot this summer, but it looks like Hugh Jackman may be starring in Snow White and the Huntsman first, while 20th Century Fox decides on who, exactly, will helm this much-talked about Mutant adventure.
