Elvis actor Austin Butler continues to see his star rise rapidly, and is all set to join director Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming sci-fi epic sequel Dune: Part Two. Butler will join Dune: Part Two as crucial character Feyd-Rautha, with the actor revealing to Variety that starring in the project has been a “surreal” experience and made him feel “like a kid.”

"Well, I just love the first film so much. It was just a cinematic masterpiece. So the idea of getting to be a part of the world is just incredibly exciting. And Denis is one of my favorite filmmakers and just an amazing human being. He's so kind and I'm a fan of every one of those actors in the film, so I felt really honored. It's really surreal. You feel sort of like a kid in a, you know like in your favorite film, it's like walking onto the set of any film that you admire as a kid. Like walking on to Indiana Jones or something like that ... Movies that really impact you as a kid, that's how I felt."

There had been whispers that Austin Butler was being eyed to star as Feyd-Rautha in Dune: Part Two for some time, with the actor’s role confirmed back in May. Fans of the franchise are eager to see Feyd-Rautha make his debut, with the younger nephew and heir of the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen well-renowned for being a formidable warrior who is expected to be an integral presence, and major threat, in the continuing journey of Paul Atreides. The level of threat posed by Feyd-Rautha has already been teased by Butler, who has begun “intensive knife-fighting training” for the role.
