The original Jumanji that starred Robin Williams was a box office success, but it took more than two decades for another Jumanji film to get made. 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle finally gave Jumanji a modern update. While initial pre-release hype was more skeptical of the new film, given it seemed like such a major departure from the first film, by the time the movie came out and audiences saw it, the movie got a positive reception from both audiences and critics. The Return of Jumanji
