During his WWE wrestling days, Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. The Rock) was always known as "The People's Champion." The actor's latest character, Hercules, is taking up the same mantle in the latest TV spot with brand new footage. This demigod (half man, half God) has been fighting others' battles for them as a mercenary for hire, after enduring his legendary twelve labors. When he is tasked with helping the ruler of Thrace defeat an evil warlord, Hercules must become a hero once again to save the people, even if the Gods will never forgive him for defying them. Watch as this mighty warrior battles with a number of mythical creatures in the latest look at director Brett Ratner's action-adventure, in theaters July 25.
Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules' help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail... he must again become the hero he once was... he must embrace his own myth... he must be Hercules.
