Dylan McDermott has joined the cast of James McTeigue's upcoming espionage thriller Survivor. Angela Bassett, Pierce Brosnan, Milla Jovovich and Emma Thompson were also attached on /milla-jovovich-angela-bassett-and-pierce-brosnan-join-survivor/Monday.

The film centers on a female State Department employee (Milla Jovovich) who is deployed to the American embassy in London. She is tasked with preventing terrorists from getting into the U.S. and becomes involved with a conspiracy that puts her on the wrong side of the law. The agent then finds herself on a race against time to stop an attack on Times Square on New Year's Eve.

Dylan McDermott is playing Milla Jovovich's boss and love interest. He is best known for his role in American Horror Story and was most recently seen in Antoine Fuqua's action thriller Olympus Has Fallen.

James McTeigue is directing from a script by Phil Shelby. Charles Winkler and Irwin Winkler are producing. Production will begin January 2014 in London.
