E! Entertainment Television announces a second season pick-up for its popular weeknight comedy talk show Chelsea Lately, featuring comedienne and bestselling author Chelsea Handler. Since its July debut, the half-hour series has shown double-digit growth in the time period versus a year ago among households and key demos. The new season kicks off Monday, January 7 at 11:30pm on E! The announcement was made by Lisa Berger, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Series Development, E! Entertainment Television.

"Chelsea has a fantastic sense of humor and one-of-a-kind approach to pop culture commentary," said Berger. "It's great that audiences have responded to her distinct brand of comedy and we look forward to having the show on our air for another season."

Chelsea Lately, which debuted July 16, 2007, has earned significant year-on-year growth in its time period among households and key demos.

In the series, Chelsea offers quick-witted commentary and a refreshing perspective on pop culture and the world of entertainment, including one-on-one celebrity interviews and a roundtable of guests discussing the day's biggest news. The series also features comedic field pieces with Chelsea hitting the streets to dive head first into Hollywood's hottest crazes. Season two of Chelsea Lately brings a jam-packed slate of celebrity guests, including Snoop Dogg, Bob Saget, Scott Baio, Finesse Mitchell, Brett Michaels and Eva LaRue.

As one of today's most successful comediennes, Chelsea has captured a legion of fans and continues to perform stand-up to sold-out crowds across the country. She is also the author of the bestselling book "My Horizontal Life," and its sequel, "Are you there Vodka, It's Me Chelsea," which will hit stores this spring.
