The head writer behind Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series, Echo, may have just revealed some major cameos. Marion Dayre took to social media to share their excitement about the project, sharing an image of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin alongside Alaqua Cox’s titular superhero, and thus strongly suggesting that both will have a role in the Hawkeye spinoff.

Dayre posted the image to her Instagram story from @the_mcu_fandom Instagram account, which came with the caption "I can't wait for ECHO,” with many taking the inclusion of both Cox and D’Onofrio as confirmation of ongoing rumors that the actors, who made their debut as their respective character in Netflix’s Daredevil series, will indeed finally be brought into the MCU fray, joining Alaqua Cox as Echo. Marion Dayre was herself tagged in the original post, which would have initially alerted her to it, and while this is far from concrete, the writer deeming it necessary to share a screenshot certainly has fans wondering...

The rumors surrounding Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock have been coming thick and fast for some time now, with a recent report claiming that Echo will in fact be akin to a fourth series of Daredevil. The apparent insight goes on to state that, while the series will still very much belong to the title character, it will also fully integrate Daredevil into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though, should this turn out to be true, fans of Cox’s iteration of The Man Without Fear should expect some surprises, as there have been several reports which have claimed that, while the actor will indeed reprise the role, Daredevil will be “somewhat soft rebooted into the MCU,” which will include giving them different backgrounds and looks.

Dayre’s post also comes quickly following one of the many other rumors regarding Daredevil, with @RPK_News1 recently revealing an apparent casting grid confirming that a standalone Daredevil project is now in the works at Marvel Studios. Though it does not confirm whether this project would be for the big or small screen, it certainly tracks with the idea that Cox will be re-introduced in Echo before embarking on his own MCU adventure.

As for Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin of Crime, Wilson Fisk, the character’s return has been rumored just as much, with the behemoth villain supposedly having roles across Marvel’s Disney+ universe, with cameos rumored for Hawkeye, Echo, She-Hulk, and more. For what it’s worth, D'Onofrio has not been shy about expressing his eagerness to don the white suit again, with the actor having responded to earlier rumors of the character's comeback by saying, "You underestimate @marvel's Fisk. Never underestimate any villain driven by their interior life...you know that deep in your heart anything can happen."

Disney+ series Echo was officially confirmed during the recent Disney+ Day event, with the character set to be introduced in this month’s Hawkeye. Played by Alaqua Cox, Echo AKA Maya Lopez is a deaf superhero who possesses “photographic reflexes,” the uncanny ability to perfectly copy other people's movements, and often works alongside Daredevil. She is also the adoptive daughter of the Kingpin, making the series the perfect place to reintroduce these Marvel fan favorites. This comes to us from Marion Dayre's Instagram.
