Ed Helms was original set to star in the Universal comedy Central Intelligence this spring while on hiatus from his regular acting gig on NBC's The Office. Rumors began sprouting up yesterday that Universal had halted production on Central Intelligence, which was all set to start filming this April. Today, Deadline revealed that the film is not being completely scrapped, yet it won't resume its course for awhile either.

This has opened up space in Helms schedule to now shoot The Hangover 2 first. This will also give Universal the time it needs to get Central Intelligence back on track, which will still be directed by Dean Parisot.

Helms also recently signed on to star in The Duplass Brothers' upcoming comedy Jeff Who Lives at Homes, which will also shoot this spring.
