Edison: According to Variety, James Todd Smith (LL Cool J) joins Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey in the $25 million (budgeted) film.

In Edison, a journalist exposes a group of corrupt cops and turns to the District Attorney's investigator, played by Spacey, and a burnt-out reporter, played by Freeman.

David Burke (known for Law & Order: SVU) writes and directs this, his first feature. Freeman, who's recent Bruce Almighty just debuted on DVD, will next appear in theaters in The Big Bounce.

LL Cool J most recently starred in S.W.A.T, which will be released on DVD on December 30, 2003. His next theatrical release will be Mindhunters currently expected in early 2004.

Spacey's current project is the Bobby Darin biopic Beyond the Sea, which he is also directing.
