Edward Norton and Brad Pitt, who last teamed up for the cult hit Fight Club, are once again reteaming onscreen. According to Variety, the two popular actors will be appearing alongside each other in Universal Pictures' adaptation of the British miniseries State of Play.
The Last King of Scotland's Kevin Macdonald is directing the film, which sees Norton as a congressman whose speedy political rise is threaten by an investigation into the murder of his mistress. Pitt is set to play a journalist who develops a strange relationship with the wife of Norton's character.
Matthew Michael Carnahan is writing the script, which is based on Paul Abbot's original miniseries teleplay. The film will begin shooting in November.
