Manhattan's new production company Elephant Eye Films is producing two upcoming projects. According to The Hollywood Reporter, they are an adaptation of Dana Horn's mystery novel The World to Come and Etan Frankel's musical Country Song.

The first film was inspired by a real-life crime. The World to Come revolves around a former child prodigy who grows up to write questions for a TV game show. He becomes convinced that a priceless painting has been stolen from his family. He breaks into a museum to steal it back, involving his sister in the heist.

The second movie will chronicle the life of Carrie, an up-and-coming country music singer. Her responsibilities to her family soon threaten her livelihood as an artist. Country Song is the first film from Frankel.

Both films are currently in development.
