Elvira's Box of Horrors: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cassandra Peterson, known to her fans as Elvira, is making a comeback this Halloween with the seven-disc DVD release of Elvira's Box of Horrors.

"She's back doing intros and outros in her own biting humor," said Mitch Peyser, executive producer for Time-Life Home Video.

Time-Life will begin test-marketing Elvira's two-minute direct-response infomercial this week, and the distributor is on the verge of securing shelf space in several national mass-merchant retail chains, Peyser said. "We've had tremendous interest from retailers," he said. "I think this will do very well both on direct response and at retail."

Elvira's Box of Horrors includes Carnival of Souls, Francis Ford Coppola's Dementia 13, the original Night of the Living Dead and House on Haunted Hill, director Roger Corman's Little Shop of Horrors, The Brian That Wouldn't Die and The Terror, staring Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson.
