Elvis director Baz Luhrmann is the latest celebrity to pay tribute to the legendary rocker's only child, Lisa Marie Presley, who died at just 54 after suffering "full cardiac arrest" at her California home Thursday.

"Over the last year, the entire Elvis movie family and I have felt the privilege of Lisa Marie's kind embrace. Her sudden, shocking loss has devastated people all around the world," Luhrmann wrote Thursday, posting the sweet tribute alongside a photo of Presley and actor Austin Butler, who portrayed Presley's famous father in the 2022 biopic.

"I know her fans everywhere join me in sharing prayers of love and support with her mother, Priscilla, and her wonderful daughters Riley, Finley and Harper. Lisa Marie, we will miss your warmth, your smile, your love," he added.

Tom Hanks, who joined the film as Elvis' manager Colonel Tom Parker, also paid tribute to Presley on Instagram Thursday evening.

"Lisa Marie was so honest and direct, vulnerable, in a state of anticipation about the movie. She spoke so eloquently about her father, what the movie meant to her, that it was a celebration of her dad," Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson wrote.

Presley Celebrated Elvis' Success at Golden Globes Just Days Before Sudden Death

Presley's death came as a shock to many, especially since her final appearance had been just days prior at the 80th Golden Globes—Presley joined her mother, Priscilla Presley, Luhrmann, Butler, and Hanks to celebrate the film's multiple nominations and Butler's Best Actor win.

Presley was outspokenly supportive of the biopic and its cast, recently raving about Butler's performance:

"It's almost if he channeled him. He put everything he had, his heart, his soul, everything he had into researching, reading, watching, learning. He honored him in every way possible."

Presley also shared that Luhrmann treated her, her mother, and her father's memory with the utmost respect while creating the film, adding, "You can feel and witness Baz's pure love, care, and respect for my father throughout this beautiful film, and it is finally something that myself and my children and their children can be proud of forever."

Presley is preceded in death by her father as well as her son Benjamin, who died of suicide in 2020. The singer is survived by her mother and three children: actress Riley Keough and 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley.
