A set of character posters put the spotlight on Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter and the rest of the core cast of Enola Holmes 2. Released courtesy of Netflix, the posters show off the stellar ensemble that will bring this mystery to life, with the sequel adding the likes of Harry Potter star David Thewlis and Dune star Sharon Duncan-Brewster to proceedings.

“Meet the Holmeses—again!” reads a caption alongside the first set of posters, which offer our latest look at Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, and Helena Bonham Carter as their mother, Eudoria Holmes. Missing from the set, however, is Sam Claflin as Mycroft Holmes — which presumably means he won’t be playing much of a role in the Enola Holmes follow-up.

The next lot of posters highlight some of the new faces that will join Enola Homes 2, including Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Sex Education), Abbie Hern (The Twilight Zone), David Thewlis (Wonder Woman), and Serranna Su-Ling Bliss in her debut role.

The final set brings back some more familiar faces, with Louis Partridge set to reprise the role of Viscount Tewkesbury alongside Susie Wokoma as Edith and Adeel Akhtar as Lestrade.

Released in 2020, the first Enola Holmes outing introduced Millie Bobby Brown as the titular sleuthing sibling alongside Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes. Cavill recently teased the change in dynamic between the Holmes siblings now that Enola is making it on her own as a private detective. The pair starts off with separate cases, which result in a crossover. And according to Cavill, it is no easy case to solve.

"Sherlock enjoys it enormously, much as it frustrates him and he's scuppered by trying to work out who on Earth it is," Cavill said. "I think part of him enjoys actually being genuinely challenged. It isn't boring. He's on the back foot, and against the ropes."

Fresh off the triumph of solving her first case, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) follows in the footsteps of her famous brother, Sherlock (Henry Cavill), and opens her own agency — only to find that life as a female detective-for-hire isn’t as easy as it seems. Resigned to accept the cold realities of adulthood, she is about to close shop when a penniless matchstick girl offers Enola her first official job: to find her missing sister.

But this case proves to be far more puzzling than expected, as Enola is thrown into a dangerous new world — from London’s sinister factories and colorful music halls, to the highest echelons of society and 221B Baker Street itself. As the sparks of a deadly conspiracy ignite, Enola must call upon the help of friends — and Sherlock himself — to unravel her mystery. The game, it seems, has found its feet again!

Once again written by Jack Thorne and directed by Harry Bradbeer, and based on the young adult fiction series of the same name by Nancy Springer, Enola Holmes 2 is scheduled to be released on 4 November 2022 by Netflix.
