Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams will star as time-challenged lovers in the fantasy, The Time Traveler's Wife for New Line Cinema and Brad Pitt's Plan B.
The film is the adaptation of the Audrey Niffenegger novel being directed by Robert Schwentke. The book tells the story of a dashing librarian (Bana) at Chicago's Newberry Library who has a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel forward and backward, notes the Hollywood Reporter. During one of his episodes, he falls in love with a woman (McAdams), but the problem is that while the man's age darts back and forth depending on his location in time, the woman's progresses in a normal manner; thus, the two are often out of sync.
A September shoot is scheduled for The Time Traveler's Wife.
