After The Boys star Erin Moriarty spoke about the grief she's suffered from online trolls, series showrunner Eric Kripke had some choice words to say in response. Recently, Moriarty took to Instagram to share images from a Medium article referencing the online harassment she has endured along with other female stars of the show. Moriarty spoke about how this treatment "dehumanized" her after she put so much of herself into the role of Starlight.“I do feel silenced. I do feel dehumanized. I do feel paralyzed. I’ve put blood, sweat, and tears into this role (over & over & over again), I’ve grown UP in this character’s shoes," Moriarty said in part. "This does break my heart - I’ve opened up a vein for this role and this kind of trolling is exactly what this role (Annie) would speak out against and everyone’s going through their own battle(s); let’s not add to that. I will never intentionally (and ESPECIALLY) publicly add to yours. This has only strengthened my empathy muscle and to anyone who comes at me: I see you, I I don’t hate you, I only empathize and forgive.”Kripke was not happy when he saw Moriarty's message. Tweeting an article about the situation, Kripke addressed the online trolls directly, telling them that by treating the talent this way, they were completely missing the whole point of The Boys. Kripke goes on to deliver some colorful words to those who've been harassing Moriarty and the show's other talent, making it clear that he'd rather have them not watch the series as they don't want people who can't be kind to be a part of their fan base. The tweet reads:

"Hi trolls! One, this is literally the opposite of the show's f***ing message. Two, you're causing pain to real people with real feelings. Be kind. If you can't be kind, then eat a bag of d*cks, f*** off to the sun & don't watch The Boys, we don't want you."
