Kumail Nanjiani has revealed his new ripped physique for The Eternals. Nanjiani had been rumored to be working with Marvel Studios for nearly a year before it was announced. He was asked about the project on a near-daily basis, but would neither confirm nor deny the rumors. But, at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige officially announced the cast of The Eternals and Nanjiani came up to the stage. The reports were proven to be true, and the Silicon Valley actor jumped right into an intense training program when he signed on.

Viewers of the latest and final season of Silicon Valley may notice that Kumail Nanjiani's Dinesh character looks a little different than before. The actor was in the middle of The Eternals training regimen during the HBO series production and one can easily tell that they went out of their way to hide his bulking muscles, which are something Dinesh never had and something Kumail Nanjiani thought he would never have either. The actor posted a shirtless selfie on social media and had this to say about it.

"I never thought I'd be one of those people who would post a thirsty shirtless, but I've worked way too hard for way too long so here we are. You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. I found out a year ago I was going to be in Marvel's Eternals and decided I wanted to transform how I looked. I would not have been able to do this if I didn't have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world. I'm glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time."

While Kumail Nanjiani never thought he would post a shirtless selfie, he has definitely earned the right to do so. The Eternals role has completely transformed his physique with all of the hard work and effort that he put into it. He went on to thank everybody who helped him get there and even says he was allowed a few "cheat days" to get him through the complete change of lifestyle.

While the vast majority of The Big Sick and Silicon Valley fans are excited to see Kumail Nanjiani and his new superhero body, there are a few who are calling him out and stating that "nerd culture" is dead. There's always going to be negativity on social media, but it seems Nanjiani should be applauded for getting in shape, not accused of being a traitor. But, that's just how things work these days.

Kumail Nanjiani stars as Kingo in The Eternals alongside Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Barry Keoghan, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Dong-seok Ma, and Kit Harington. The movie hits theaters on November 6th, 2020. Nanjiani is about to get his own action figure based on his new physique.
