Eva Green is in talks to reunite with her Dark Shadows director Tim Burton in the 20th Century Fox adaptation Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

We first reported on this project back in November 2011, when Tim Burton signed on to direct this adaptation of Ransom Riggs' novel. The plot centers on Jacob, a 16-year-old boy who finds himself transported to a mysterious island to protect a group of orphans with special powers from a number of creatures trying to destroy them. Eva Green is playing the title character, the primary guardian for these children.

Tim Burton is directing from an adapted screenplay by Jane Goldman, based on the Ransom Riggs novel, with Peter Chernin producing through his Chernin Entertainment company. Production is scheduled to begin in February 2015. 20th Century Fox currently has the adaptation slated for release on July 31, 2015, but the release date will likely be shifted accordingly.

On the big screen, Eva Green most recently starred in 300: Rise of an Empire, and she will next be seen as the title character in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. She also starred in the hit Showtime series Penny Dreadful.
