Eva Longoria, Paul Rudd and Lake Bell have signed on for How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiance for Gold Circle Films, according to Variety. The film will start shooting Aug. 24 in Hollywood, with Jeff Lowell making his directorial debut.

Lowell also wrote the screenplay which centers on a female psychic (Bell) who falls in love with a skeptic (Rudd) while the ghost of his dead fiance, played by Longoria, tries to keep them apart.

Eva Longoria will juggle her duties on How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiance with her role on ABC's Desperate Housewives. She received consent from the network to sign on for the movie by agreeing to work weekends on Dead Fiance and weekdays on Housewives. Longoria is also attached to star in Deep in the Heart of Texas for Disney.

Paul Rudd is coming off Broadway's Three Days of Rain opposite Julia Roberts. He recently starred in The 40 Year Old Virgin and is reteaming with that film's director, Judd Apatow, on Knocked Up for Universal.

Bell recently wrapped Pride & Glory for New Line Cinema and director Gavin O'Connor.
