It seems that Alan Ball's vampire series has found their Queen. According to Entertainment Weekly, Evan Rachel Wood has booked a guest-starring role on the HBO series True Blood.

The site is reporting that Wood will be portraying "Sophie-Anne, the vampire Queen of Louisiana." Sophie-Anne is said to be a powerful 500-year-old vampire who has links to some of history's most famous people.

It was said that Wood has signed on for a two-episode arc, which will come towards the end of the second season, but she would return if the show was picked up for a third season.
