Ewan McGregor and Richard Griffiths have joined the voice cast of Jackboots On Whitehall, a WW2 comedy spoof using action figures to imagine what would have happened if the Germans had won the Battle of Britain, according to Variety.

McGregor will take the lead role as a heroic Scottish farmhand who leads the resistance against the invaders, and wins the girl (Rosamund Pike). Griffiths, who won a Bafta nomination last week, will play the Luftwaffe leader Hermann Goering.

The movie is the feature debut of director Edward McHenry, who also co-wrote the script with his brother Rory.

Other voice cast members already announced include Richard E. Grant, Timothy Spall as Churchill, Tom Wilkinson and Alan Cumming as Hitler.
