Caroline Cory's new UFO documentary A Tear in the Sky is coming to VOD and Digital in May, and we have an exclusive clip to debut ahead of its release. Written, directed, and produced by Cory, the doc will be available to own and rent worldwide on Digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms via 1091 Pictures on May 3, 2022. You can get a sneak peek by watching our clip below as the team employs their cameras in the skies to make a bizarre discovery that warrants further investigation.

The filmmakers felt that the public perception of the UFO / UAP debate changed significantly in 2017 thanks to videos leaked by the US Navy that defied explanation. That was exacerbated when the Navy and the Pentagon confirmed the veracity of the sightings, though an official report into their origin was ultimately inconclusive. A Tear in the Sky's filmmakers wanted to "take it upon themselves to investigate the subject from a new scientific perspective," partnering with various scientists and UFO experts in an effort to learn more about what's really up there in the skies.

"I am very proud and excited to be the first filmmaker to film a large-scale, real-life scientific expedition of UFOs and space anomalies, using military-grade, state-of-the-art equipment, and academic methodologies to study the data and the phenomenon,” filmmaker Caroline Cory said in a statement.

Director of photography Lenny Vitulli added, “A Tear in the Sky was hands down the most unique filming experience of my life. The challenges of working unscripted with the most renowned UAP scientists in the world, top-secret military-grade scientific equipment, and William Shatner made every day a new unpredictable adventure! I am excited for everyone to see what we found!"

A Tear in the Sky notably features Star Trek legend William Shatner with the film, and as someone who recently set the record as the oldest person to visit outer space, he will certainly have a lot of interesting insight to add to the conversation. The doc also includes Michio Kaku, Travis Taylor, Caroline Cory, Kevin Day, Gary Voorhis, and Kevin Knuth. You can read the official synopsis for the film below.

"This award-winning documentary A Tear in the Sky takes you on an unprecedented journey into the UFO / UAP phenomenon. A team of military personnel, scientists, and special guest William Shatner will attempt to re-capture, in real time, the US Navy 'TicTac' UFOs and other space anomalies, using state-of-the-art, military-grade equipment, and technology. What they find instead are thought-provoking clues into the true nature of the UFO phenomenon and the very fabric of our space-time reality."

"Working with William Shatner was phenomenal, and the hundreds of hours of data that we have collected during the filming, which will be released publicly along with a university research paper for peer-review, has now made history beyond any government or organizations investigating the subject," Cory said. "I'm looking forward to seeing the results of our hard work. This is all so very exciting!"
