It's 1988 all over again! It seems like you can't turn a corner without finding a Corey in your face. Not only do we have a second season of The Two Coreys to look forward too, but we are also getting Corey Feldman and Corey Haim in The Lost Boys: The Tribe this July. Stemming off of that, Haim has lined up a supporting role in the highly anticipated action sequel Crank 2: High Voltage and he will also be appearing alongside his old Silver Bullet cast mate Gary Busey in Dazed. No slouch, Feldman is keeping up his part of the bargain. We just got word from our good friend that he is all set to star in the upcoming comedy Lucky Fritz.

The film will be shot in Berlin, Germany. With a plot centering on an unlucky sap that continually gets struck by lighting, Feldman tells us that this is a family comedy. When Fritz gets struck a third time, it causes a strange chemical reaction within himself, and he suddenly finds that he has a magnetic personality which no mere human can resist (type casting anyone?). It should be hilarious.

The film is set to go into production this summer. While that means he will be taking a short break from recording his upcoming album, it should still be in stores by August with a statewide tour to follow.

About The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe going straight to video as initially planned, Feldman states, "I have seen a lot of negativity out there regarding LB2 not going theatrical, and people saying if it doesn't go theatrical than the movie must suck. Please understand that when a studio makes those decisions there are a lot of politics involved, and a great deal more money must be spent. A studio is concerned about turning profits so if they see a way to make bigger profit by spending less money they sometimes choose to do so. I have seen the movie and I can assure you it does not suck (well...the vampires do). I cannot promise it will be as good or better than the first, that opinion is subjective. However as far as movies go, it's well done and a fun ride. Please be patient. You can decide for yourself soon enough."

Stay tuned here for all of your Corey Haim and Corey Feldman updates.
